Ben Simmons’ relationship with the Philadelphia 76ers crashed and burned like no one expected it to. In the end, a trade was inevitable. However, Simmons’ exit from the 76ers doesn’t seem to have freed the team of all trouble.
Recently, 76ers forward Danny Green was called out on Twitter for his hypocritical behavior regarding Simmons. Green’s words and statements were questioned, ultimately accusing him of facilitating Simmons’ actions.
Fans, however, were ready to defend Green and the 76ers if need be.

76ers fans defend Danny Green on Twitter as star faces some backlash
Now, the issue started after Green’s recent podcast, where he discussed Simmons. Apparently, Simmons’ relationship with a few 76ers teammates wasn’t cordial. He might not even play in Philadelphia on March 10. Furthermore, they believe Simmons would even refuse to shake hands before or after the game.

Of course, fans were quick to defend Green.
As shared by a fan, older reports quote Green, trying to reach Simmons. According to the 34-year-old, it is all about confidence, and Simmons is not a bad shooter. He added that in the end, Simmons cannot be afraid to shoot.
How responsible was Green?

Fans agreed, adding that one cannot actually know what is going on in the locker room. On top of that, fans believed one should actually back down when the players themselves get involved. Some even reiterated the fact that while Green was a teammate, it was not his actual job to get Simmons to shoot.
To be fair, it seems as if fans and players are ready to move on. The Sixers have Harden on their team, and many fans are looking forward to a Joel Embiid-Harden pairing.
