Shaunie compared her dating life with her former husband, Shaquille O’Neal, and her current husband, Keion Henderson. In her VH1 wedding special series, she opened up to her group of friends about the two relationships she has had. She admitted that they were two “different worlds”. And did she spill the tea?

Shaquille O’Neal and Shaunie started dating in 1996. They had 2 children before they got married in 2002. Their union added 2 more children. They had a brief split in 2007 and reconciled to only get officially divorced in 2010. The divorce listed “irreconcilable differences” as the reason. Shaq also admitted he was not a good husband, and that he was unfaithful.

Shaunie and Keion Henderson married on 28 May 2022, surrounded by family and friends. They wanted to share their love story with the wedding special. Through the episodes, Shaunie detailed her transition from being a basketball wife to a First Lady of the Lighthouse Church.

“I am loving this way more“, Shaunie shared with her friends. She was referring to being the pastor’s wife over a basketball player’s wife. Shaunie continued, “I don’t know what we was thinking”.

The Big Diesel had recently opened up about his marriage to Shaunie.

He said he was at fault for their 9-year-long relationship ending. Shaunie responded by saying that she was happy he was able to share his truth.

She also said that she is tired of all the questions she gets regarding Shaquille O’Neal. Shaunie said, “I just don’t know if those questions are necessary almost 13 years later…”

Clearly, she has moved on from this phase of her life. The duo continues to co-parent their children. A year ago, Shaunie commented that it took a long time for them to reach a place where they were comfortable with co-parenting. “We have a great co-parenting relationship, seriously“. She also said that both of them would support each other through their own individual paths.
