With the regular NBA season at an end and the Playoffs right around the corner, the end-of-the-season awards and titles have everyone holding on to the edge of their seats. The players in contention for the MVP title this season include Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid, and Jayson Tatum. Though Nikola Jokic has been part of a different conversation lately if comments made by Demarcus ‘Boogie’ Cousins are to go by.
The Serbian Nuggets center has been the player to watch this season, winning the All-Star MVP title for the third time in a row.

In a recent clip on SHOWTIME Basketball’s Youtube channel, DeMarcus “Boogie” Cousins is talking about how even though Jokic has won MVP two times in a row, it does not automatically make him the greatest center of all time.
Cousins elaborated that this is simply because the Serbian player is still in the early years of his career and it is too early to give him the top spot when he has so much more to achieve.
While he maintains that Jokic is probably the greatest center in the league right now but “he’s not okay with this conversation;” where Nikola is being measured against the “likes of Shaquille O’Neal, Hakeem Olajuwon, Tim Duncan… and Wilt Chamberlain” adding “that’s a tough conversation to have right now.“
Nikola Jokic might not like what the former Nuggets teammate has to say but NBA fans are certainly on board with his statement, one even said,
“Yo thank you boogie! Somebody finally said it. God damn.”
Here are a few more comments from fans agreeing with Boogie’s statement on Jokic:
“Dammit BOOGIE your making too
much sense!”
“Boogie is making a VALID point.”
“he talking facts.”
“Boogie speaking facts.”
“100 percent valid. Aint no one ok for that conversation take place at the moment.”

“He talking truth because Joel Embid has been dominating during that same span but continues to be passed over and he’s doing it all offensively and defensively.”
“Y’all can say what you want, but he not wrong. Truth be told, Jokic and Embiid have a lot more to prove when it comes to postseason success. Giannis getting that LeBron treatment at this point.”
