It was surely a surprising move altogether given how the Nets were finally back in one of the top spots in the Eastern Conference. Though the team does not have Kevin Durant at the moment, the Nets are still playing really well. So, it came as a shock to fans that Irving requested a trade from the team.?

The NBA trade deadline is less than a week away. This likely does not give the Brooklyn Nets ample time to seek out best the best trade values that they could get in return for their seven-time All-Star.?

According to ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Kyrie Irving has requested to be traded from the franchise ahead of the upcoming trade deadline. This took place after Irving and the Nets could not come to an agreement for a new contract extension.?

Boston Celtics legend Kendrick Perkins was not too happy with Kyrie Irving?s news either. Furthermore, Perkins said that Irving?s news ruined Michael Jordan?day (2/3/23) for him.?

The 2022-23 season for Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. Irving was right in the middle of some of the biggest controversies during the first few months of the season.

It got so out of hand that Irving was suspended, and had to fulfill a list of demands from Nets owner Joe Tsai. If that weren?t enough, he lost his sneaker deal with Nike as well as the company decided to part ways with him.?
