Former Lakers guard Dennis Schroder has criticized LeBron James and Anthony Davis for not standing up to Green’s bullying tactics during the 2023 NBA playoffs.?
Schroder’s comments came after the Lakers’ second-round series against the Warriors in game 6. It was a highly anticipated matchup, with both teams vying for a crucial win.
According to Lakers Daily, the altercation between Green and the Lakers’ dynamic duo was intense. Green employed a relentless barrage of trash talk and physicality throughout the game, seemingly trying to disrupt the focus and composure of Lebron and Davis.
However, what surprised many was the apparent lack of retaliation from James and Davis, who are widely regarded as two of the league’s toughest competitors.
In an interview with ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, Schroder called out James and Davis for not stopping Green’s bullying behavior.
“It was tough,” Schroder said. “I mean, you got a guy like Draymond, who’s a four-time NBA champion, and he’s out there bullying our guys. It’s tough to watch, especially when you know your teammates are capable of standing up for themselves”
The Lakers eventually won game 6 only to be defeated by the Denver Nuggets in the finals.?

Green has gained quite a notoriety for being a trash-talker and an agitator on the court. Throughout his career, he has been embroiled in numerous incidents, one of which occurred in 2016 when he engaged in a heated altercation with LeBron James during the NBA Finals.
Because of his actions, Green was suspended for Game 5 of the series, ultimately allowing the Cavaliers to secure victory in the decisive Game 7. Moving forward, Green will remain with the Warriors.
