From spine-tingling linkup plays, to heart-melting acts of appreciation outside, Pippen and Jordan were the duo that many people remembered the 90s for. Combining for thousands of points and six NBA crowns, the pair built a Chicago Bulls empire from scratch. Yet, 56-year-old Pippen has admitted that he was never really close to MJ. Funnily enough, they just shared respect for one another as players, and nothing beyond that. After the ‘Last Dance’ series caused a ginormous stir, the 7-time All-star has taken multiple jibes at his compatriot.

Former Bulls star makes baffling Scottie Pippen-Michael Jordan claim

With his new memoir ‘Unguarded’ coming out, questions were raised as to whether this was all a promotional act from ‘Pip’. Right from terming Jordan as selfish and hypocritical, to dishing out that the 14-time All-star ruined basketball, the past few weeks have been eventful. A fellow forward for the Bulls from 1990-1994, Scott Williams has given his say on the outrage. Part of Chicago’s first three-peat, the 53-year-old admitted that he was mildly saddened by the docu-series, but said that he never felt this hatred from Pippen’s side during their playing days.

From Bill Cartwright’s firing to his secondary role at Chicago, Scottie Pippen unarguably has some regrets. However, his boisterous expression of discontent has left Williams disappointed. Scott himself had a tiny role in the 10-episode show, but made some shocking revelations regarding Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. “I text him [Jordan] and he always responds,” revealed the 3-time NBA winner. Meanwhile, his contact with Scottie has been characteristically in contrast. “Little things like that [staying in contact] mean a lot. I’ve texted Pip and it’s been radio silence.”
