The trade was supposedly going to be either with the Pacers or the Jazz. However, it would mean that the Lakers may have to give up the 2027 and 2029, first-round draft picks. According to The Athletic, the Lakers are unlikely to trade Westbrook but the decision would also depend on the Lakers’ performance during the training camps and the preseason. Additionally, the Lakers have signed Dennis Schroder, and Westbrook’s rival, Patrick Beverley. Amidst the ongoing news regarding Westbrook, Warriors player,?Draymond Green, commented on the matter on the Checc’n-In Podcast.

Green said,

“I one hundred percent think the fit is terrible. I don?t think you could talk to Russell Westbrook right now and [he] wouldn?t think the fit is terrible. Nonetheless, just because the fit is terrible don?t mean you don?t go for it. Because guess what, if you go for it and it works, then you got a championship.”Watch This Story: Who Was Drafted Before Michael Jordan? Where Are They Now and How Was Their Career?
