Being born to one of the most iconic athletes on the planet must be a daunting experience. As a child, Jasmine was largely unaware of her father’s status and popularity. However, as she grew older, she realized that Michael Jordan would be a name forever associated with even her personal achievements.

Nevertheless, the beloved daughter of the Bulls legend never got demotivated by the fact while looking forward to her life. In a recent interview on Unleashed Summit, she mentioned how she looked at her being called MJ’s daughter while trying to make a name for herself.

“I don’t shy away from the fact that my dad is Michael Jordan. He’s the greatest of all players and that is undeniable…,” said Jasmine.

She added, “… So, when I walk into a room that’s the first thing that you gonna see…and embrace…And that’s the first thing I’m gonna correct. We’re gonna say ‘Hey, I’m Jasmine, Nice to meet you’ and that’s how I’m gonna continue the conversation…For being authentic I had to really dive deep on who do I want Jasmine to be because who that man [MJ] is, has already been established…For me always knowing that every time I look in the mirror I love what I’m seeing is being authentically me.”
