Ex-wife accuses Brittney Griner of denying their babies
Glory Johnson and Brittney Griner met in a Las Vegas training camp in 2013. After a year of dating, the two hoopers got engaged in 2014 after Griner proposed. However, the couple’s relationship suffered severely after police arrested both of them from their Arizona home following a domestic violence call.
Both Johnson and Griner had sustained minor injuries after a physical alteration. Soon after, they decided to get married despite their differences. After less than a month of marriage, Johnson announced publicly that she was pregnant. The day after, Griner filed for an annulment of marriage.
In the interview, Johnson revealed that she felt betrayed by her ex-wife’s drastic action. “I thought I married the person I was supposed to be with“, she said. “You can call me stupid for believing her, but I trusted this person.”
Meanwhile, Johnson disclosed two videos during the interview. In one of the videos, Griner is reportedly joking with Johnson in the fertility clinic about their future babies, even referring to himself as “Dad”. In the other video, she says to her then-wife while she’s taking a pregnancy test, “Even if you’re not pregnant, I still love you.”
Apparently, this doesn’t seem consistent with Griner’s implication in her filing that she wasn’t involved in the IVF procedure. In a revised filing, the Phoenix Mercury star claimed that she was pressured by Johnson to participate in the process.
