Despite losing two games in a trot against the Denver Nuggets in the semifinal series, Kevin Durant made huge gains with his new Call of Duty news. The leading video game developer, Activision Blizzard, revealed a glimpse of Durant’s playable character for its upcoming launch. Following the announcement, KD attracted a wide array of opinions from the NBA world. However, his Phoenix Suns teammate Devin Booker’s response stood out of the lot. 

This isn’t the first time where an NBA star featured as a playable character in a video game. However, Durant made strides in the last few months as he signed various big deals. Apart from the video game, the Slim Reaper signed massive deals with Nike and with the Suns franchise. 

Devin Booker reacts to Kevin Durant’s game update

Hours after the introduction of Kevin Durant’s playable character in Call of Duty, the press was curious to know what his star teammate Devin Booker thought. When one of the reporters asked Booker whether KD had informed him about the update, the 26-year-old’s answer surprised the media. He said, “I talk about it every day. He didn’t even bring it up to me! I hit him this morning like, ‘Come on, bro, you didn’t even let me know?’”

He later added, “I’m jealous,” thrice before ending the interaction with the press.

While Durant did make series off the court, the Suns need to switch on tomorrow night. After falling 0-2 in the series, they welcome the Nuggets to their backyard for a Game 3 tomorrow. The Phoenix side needs to win their next game to keep their championship hopes alive. Fans expect Durant to fire in the upcoming games and turn around the Suns’ fortune. 

NBA stars as video game characters

As mentioned earlier, NBA stars have been featured in video games in the past as well. Apart from the legendary basketball video game, NBA 2K, the stars have been utilized in other genres of games. For instance, Michael Jordan was a playable character in the game, ‘Michael Jordan: Chaos in the Windy City’ game, released in 1994. Shaquille O’Neal featured in ‘Shaq Fu’, a fighting game, and Charles Barkley was a character in ‘Barkley Shut Up and Jam!’
