How 15 minutes changed an 8x-NBA All-Star’s Los Angeles Lakers career
In 2020, the Orlando Bubble witnessed the Los Angeles Lakers claim their 17th NBA title. The veteran center Dwight Howard had contributed immensely to the Lakers’ title run. When the Lakers met the Nuggets on the same stage in 2020, they triumphed the series in style with a 4-1 win, unlike being swept. Then, Howard’s ace guarding had outsmarted the mighty Nikola Jokic. Nonetheless, despite wanting to stay with in LA in the next season, Dwight Howard had to move to Philly.

In his recent appearance on the LateNightLakeShow, Dwight Howard shed light on why he left LA in 2020. As the All-Star center puts it, he had then wanted to re-sign with the Lakers. He wanted to sign a two-year deal with the Lakers. However, the LA front office offered a one-year deal. Howard asked to give him 15 minutes to think about the offer. Those 15 minutes were denied by the front office. Besides, LA rescinded Howard’s offer.

Besides, many fans think that the Lakers could have done better against the Nuggets recently with Dwight Howard on the roster.
