Rapper, The Game has been trying to provoke a rap beef with Eminem for some time now. The 42-year old rapper from Compton is already on a press tour for his unreleased Eminem diss track.

He appeared on the All the Smoke podcast on Showtime Basketball to talk about music and hoops. In the interview, he declared himself to be a better rapper than Eminem.

The Game acknowledged Eminem’s greatness. But said that nobody listens to his music nowadays. To add insult to injury, he said to co-host Matt Barnes that nobody plays Eminem’s music in the club, in the locker room, or in the streets.

I don’t hear Eminem in the streets“, said The Game, “I’m just a better rapper.”

LeBron James has Eminem’s back

Most critics think that this is just a publicity stunt on The Game’s part. It’s basically a win-win strategy. Calling out Eminem generates a lot of noise in the rap world, even if Eminem doesn’t respond. And if he does, it’s guaranteed to garner the world’s attention.

However, the strategy hasn’t fully worked so far. Eminem hasn’t responded yet. But his fans are responding with videos where Eminem’s music is still being played everywhere. Notably, one such resurfaced video shows LeBron James singing along to Eminem rap in his locker room.

LeBron James has been an Eminem fan for a long time. There are videos of him lip-syncing to Eminem’s music from back in 2010 when he used to play for the Cavaliers.

Additionally, there are also videos of him rapping to Eminem’s Kamikaze and Till I collapse in more recent times. In fact, he has also admitted in the past, “I love Eminem.”

So, it wasn’t that surprising when fans unearthed a video from years ago where he’s seen rapping to Eminem’s music in the Heat locker room. This serves as an apt rebuttal to The Game’s comment that nobody plays Eminem in locker rooms.

The Game vs Eminem

The Game vs Eminem has mostly been a one-sided affair. Eminem has had a lot of beefs with different rappers over the years. They include Joe Budden, Ja Rule, Nick Cannon and others.

The Game is definitely brave for wanting a rap battle with Eminem. But considering Eminem’s past record, he needs to be on his A-game if the ‘Rap God’ accepts his challenge.
