In the first episode of his podcast, Podcast P with Paul George, George expressed that he and Kawhi Leonard loved the arrival of Westbrook in the camp. Moreover added that they needed a point guard as they traded Reggie Jackson and John Wall.
The eight-time All-Star further disclosed that he thought he could play as a point guard but eventually struggled. This made one of the co-hosts say that he liked Geroge playing as a point guard. In reply, the Clippers forward said, “It’s a lot, it’s a lot. Especially, when you got Jrue Holiday picking you up and you got to create from…”
This, in turn, prompted another co-host to say that he needed to run down from the sideline as a point guard. PG-13 agreed with him and said, “I need to be a stallion, the Black Stallion…”
The Clippers forward’s statements implied that he needed to shoot from everywhere and cover the whole court as a point guard. This not only made him feel like he was running like a black stallion but also affected his gameplay as he was playing out of his natural position. But after Russ joined them, the 32-year-old knew that he wouldn’t have to do all that running as the former MVP would have taken care of that.
