Dillon Brooks might have succeeded in evading the media and a suspension. However, he couldn’t evade what LeBron James had in store for him. LeBron James led the Los Angeles Lakers to a stunning 117-111 triumph over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night at Crypto.com Arena. The victory gave the Lakers a commanding 3-1 lead over the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference in their first-round playoff series. On the other hand, Ja Morant, Grizzlies’ start player played despite his injury. However, he wasn’t able to perform well.

Meanwhile, Ja Morant and Dillon Brooks get into trouble as fans dismantle them for avoiding the media. Even Michael Jordan gets dragged into it.

The NBA playoffs between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Memphis Grizzlies saw a lot of heat gather between both teams. LeBron James and Dillon Brooks in particular. James, who was referred to as “old” by Grizzlies player Dillon Brooks after Game 1, had the last laugh with a 45-minute performance that saw him rack up 22 points, 20 rebounds, seven assists and two blocks.

LeBron made playoff history by becoming the first Lakers player since Shaquille O’Neal in 2004 to finish with 20 points and 20 rebounds. The Grizzlies made a strong comeback in the second quarter after the Lakers had established a double-digit advantage, and the game eventually went into overtime. LeBron maintained his composure and remained focused on the game despite Brooks’ attempts to get under his skin. He helped the Lakers win the game with his clutch shooting and rebounds.

Brooks, however, struggled on the court. With a score of just 11 points and 4-of-11 shooting from the field, he wasn’t quite on the same level as LeBron. He attempted seven three-point shots but only made one. Contrary to his trash-talking earlier in the series, Brooks opted not to speak to the media after the game for the second straight game. All he said was, “I’m out.”?

However, Brooks wasn’t the only one who skipped the media.

Despite his sore shooting hand, Ja Morant played in Game 4. The two-time All-Star struggled from the field, finishing with just 19 points on 8-of-24 shooting. Even though he tried his best, it looked that Morant’s injury had an impact on his play because he was unable to have the same impact on the game.

The media is more likely to be lenient on Ja Morant. However, the same cannot be said for Brooks.

NBA World Reacts to Ja Morant and Dillon Brooks

Dillon Brooks and Ja Morant evading the media caught the attention of NBA fans, with many lashing out against Brooks. They have voiced out their opinions on Twitter and some have even taken a dig at Ja Morant. Here are some of the reactions:

A fan tweeted, “Ego of Michael Jordan, ability of Brian Scalbrine,” dragging even NBA legend Michael Jordan and former NBA player Brian Scalabrine into the mess.

An old video of Michael Jordan resurfaced with many embedding the video in their tweets. Michael Jordan had said, “Well that’s alright. Let’s see if all that trash-talking starts when it’s 0-0, instead of a 5/6-point lead. That’s where it starts. That’s the sign of a good man. If you can talk s**t when it’s even score or talk when you’re behind score, in your head it’s easy to talk.”

They didn’t hold back on Ja Morant either.
