Shaquille O’Neal appeared on E! News’ ‘Daily Pop’ to promote his latest clothing line in September 2021. During the segment titled, “Shaquille O’Neal shoots his shot with ‘Daily Pop’ guest host Rocsi,” Shaq’s flirtatious comments did not sit well with Eddie Murphy’s ex-girlfriend.
Rocsi started her relationship with popular actor and comedian Eddie Murphy in 2012. The duo was spotted being quite affectionate during their coffee dates. Diaz and Murphy also showed up together at a pre-BET Award celebration event. However, Murphy reportedly broke up with the former BET 106 & Park host, as the actor was not looking for a serious commitment.
Did Shaquille O’Neal’s comments make Rocsi Diaz uncomfortable on live TV?
During the E! News show, co-host Carissa Culiner asked Shaq to show his modeling skills and ‘little flirty fun’ for the camera. As a result, O’Neal made some gestures, including eyebrow raises and ‘call me’ sign to Rocsi Diaz. The guest host reckoned that one of Shaq’s gestures was sad and pouty.
O’Neal quickly responded he could never feel sad and pouty around Diaz. The 15-time All-Star also joked that Rocsi was always in his DMs. Diaz was startled by Shaq’s revelations and asked him to tell the truth. However, O’Neal was not ready to stop just there. Shaquille told Culiner that he could not reveal some things that Diaz had told him. Then, Shaq said, “You know what she says? She says, ‘Even though I’m Spanish, you know I like that chocolate.’ For real.”
