Although, a particular Rockets star has been raising eyebrows with his stellar on-court performances. After breaking several records, the NBA star recently made another major accomplishment, tying him with Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.
The Houston Rockets had been on an 11-game losing streak until they managed to defeat the Minnesota Timberwolves and broke their dry spell. The Rockets scored 119 against the Wizards’ 114 in the Monday night game on January 23. However, the team barely got to savor their victory as they lost 103-108 to the Washington Wizards in their next game.

An NBA fan pointed out?that Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun has surpassed NBA legend Magic Johnson and Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic by scoring 6 assists and 6 rebounds in eight consecutive games. Sengun is now tied to 4x NBA champion LeBron James in the second spot. He is now only lacking behind Doncic on the list.

The 20-year-old star’s streak began with the game against the Sacramento Kings on January 11. The 2021 Turkish League MVP scored 10 assists and 10 rebounds. In the most recent game against the Washington Wizards, Sengun scored 21 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. He is currently averaging 15.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.
Sengun breaks yet another record
Despite the Houston Rockets’ weak performances this season, Sengun has managed to become the youngest player in the league’s history to accomplish a double-double within the first two-quarters of a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Sengun scored 13 points with 11 rebounds and 4 assists in the first half of the game. While the Rockets eventually lost to the Timberwolves by 104-113, the 6’11” star managed to score 19 points, 16 rebounds, and 7 assists on the night.
