LeBron James’ decision to join the Miami Heat is widely regarded as one of the most controversial NBA moments ever. Controversial or not, James achieved what he aspired to before joining the Heat, winning an NBA title. King James has won an NBA title with every team he has ever played for. Naturally, fans of all the teams regularly argue over which team had the best version of LeBron. Recently, James’ former teammate dropped a bombshell that might trigger lots of fans.

It is none other than Dwyane Wade. During an interview, Wade talked about James as a player and also said that the Heat enjoyed the best years of a prime LeBron James.

Former teammate picks the best version of LeBron James

Four-time NBA champion LeBron James has had one of the greatest NBA careers ever. He has been dominating the league since 2003 and has not slowed down since. Naturally, choosing his best version is a tedious task.

Recently, Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade chimed into the debate. During an interview, he was asked whether James evolved as a scorer during his time with the Heat.

Wade replied, “And he came to Miami right in that time where really you think LeBron has exceeded this. You think that’s the best time you’re going to get as a professional athlete from 25 to 29. Those are the prime years. And so we were lucky to get him in his prime years.”

Although one may agree with Wade, it is still a highly debatable topic. James has won championships with every team he has played for and has phenomenal numbers for all of them.

How good was LeBron in Miami?

LeBron James was already one of the best players in the league during his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He joined the Miami Heat in order to win the only thing missing from his trophy cabinet, an NBA title.

During his four seasons with the Heat, he won two NBA titles. James averaged 26.9 points, 6.7 assists, and 7.6 rebounds playing alongside the likes of Wade and Chris Bosh.
