In his recent appearance on?Club Shay Shay?podcast, Dwyane Wade has had a freewheeling conversation with the NFL veteran and host Shannon Sharpe. As Wade’s son Zaire Wade has ventured into basketball, Sharpe asked Wade how difficult it is for Zaire to carry his NBA legend father’s name and play the sport. He told Sharpe that the journey is difficult for any young player who comes from an NBA household. Besides, he also proclaimed that he will sympathize with any youngster who gets hatred just because they have not been able to match up with their parent’s reputation.
At this point, Sharpe told D Wade a story about the MLB veteran Ken Griffey Jr.?“I had Ken Griffey at one time and he said kind of he always saw his… go see his son’s play. But he said it was tough on him. Because if his son made a mistake or struck out, people in the stands will say ‘well you’re not your dad.’ And Griffey one day said, ‘Well name five players who are.’ Dwyane Wade got so inspired by Griffey’s act that he remarked,?“I’m gonna put that in my note.”
Just like Ken Griffey Jr, Dwyane Wade too has heroic tales to tell when it comes to having his children’s back.
