LeBron James has developed many rivalries with other NBA players over the years. During his 18 year career, he has racked up some of the biggest honors, titles, and awards in the basketball world. At the same time, James has acquired many close friends among his NBA colleagues. One such friend, a former NBA player, spoke about playing his last game against LeBron James.
Former NBA star and legend Dwyane Wade recently revealed a hilarious moment that occurred in this game. In an interview on ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’, Wade explained what his wife had ordered him. Wade’s wife Gabrielle Union, who was present by the courtside of the game encouraged her husband throughout the game.
Wade said, “Anybody ever seen Rocky 5? When Rocky had to go in the alley and fight Tommy Gun? Remember that scene where he was like, ‘Fight back you bum, fight back.’ That’s what my wife is telling me. I’m like 37, guarding LeBron James and my wife is yelling, ‘Fight back you bum, fight back.”

Wade played alongside James at Miami Heat between 2010 to 2014. They won two NBA titles together with Chris Bosh, who was a part of the formidable trio. James however, left the Heat in 2014 to rejoin the Cleveland Cavaliers. Wade himself left the Heat in 2016.
The shooting guard returned to the Heat in the 2018-19 NBA season. He spent the last season of his career at the Heat before retiring. His last home game witnessed him score his fifth triple-double.
LeBron James joined the Lakers in 2018 and won an NBA title with them in 2020.

The on-court friendship between
LeBron James and Dwyane Wade poetically ended with Wade announcing his retirement. The game between Wade’s Heat and LeBron’s Lakers was a much-awaited one as fans yearned to witness an end to a healthy rivalry. In this game, James came out on top as the two friends competed for the last time.James led the Lakers to a 108-105 win over the Heat. The Lakers talisman scored 28 points, 12 assists, and nine rebounds. Wade scored 15 points and 10 assists. The duo exchanged jerseys at the end of the game with Wade autographing his jersey for James. The superstar and the Lakers fans sent off Wade with a standing ovation for his last appearance at the Staples Center.
