Knowing the President of a country is a privilege in itself and playing a game of golf with him certainly makes one a celebrity. Dwyane Wade has the same thoughts. During an interview, Wade talked about the golf match played between him and Former POTUS, Barack Obama.
An elated Wade talked about the events which led to him playing with the President. He also mentions how the game with Barack Obama ranks above every other game he has had, with the likes of Shaquille O’Neal and LeBron James.

Dwyane Wade shares his feelings
In a recent interview, Dwyane Wade talked about an interesting story involving him and former President of the United States of America.
He talked about the time he got an opportunity to play golf with Obama. Dwyane Wade says, “My family and I love going to Hawaii for Christmas. Luckily enough, I ended out there as the same time as Obama. We got connected together to be at the same golf course at the same day. Later on we work out a time where we can all get together and golf.”
Wade adds, “So I’m golfing with the Prez, I’m super excited but I suck too at the same time. We had an amazing game and an amazing conversation. I’ve been with Shaq, I’ve been with LeBron but being with the President,is a different level of celebrity.”
Interestingly enough, Barack Obama has a great relationship with the NBA and he has been involved with the league in the past.

Was Obama a basketball player?
Barack Obama’s relationship with basketball started all the way back in Honolulu. He was in the JV basketball team of Honolulu in the year 1977.

Even after assuming the highest responsibility in the country, Obama found time to enjoy the sport. He got to practise and play with the North Carolina Tar Heels college basketball team who went on to win the NCAA title that year.

Barack Obama and his relationship with the NBA
Obama shares a good relationship with players in the league including LeBron James. The forward was one of the players who Obama had contacted regarding an incident in the league.
During the bubble games in the NBA, the Milwaukee Bucks decided not to play their scheduled game against Orlando Magic after a controversy erupted in the town of Wisconsin. There were also reports of players leaving the bubble.

The POTUS reportedly got into a phone call with James, Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony. His message to the stars was to ‘use their large audience to instill change in America and remain in the bubble.’
Last year Barack Obama joined the NBA Africa program as a strategic partner. The program strives to attain gender equality in the continent of Africa.
