In the midst of all the marquee signings that the Los Angeles Lakers have made, the return of Dwight Howard has gone relatively unnoticed. The veteran will join hands with LeBron James and the other stalwarts this year. He is very committed, and always does what’s best for his side. And now, a revelation further proves this claim.
After a year away from Los Angeles, the 35-year-old returned for his third stint with the yellow and purple. He is now part of a Frank Vogel managed side that has heaps of experience. Being an 8-time NBA All-star and a former champion, Howard knows who and what it takes to win. The star apparently tried convincing a player to join his setup. The obvious answer would be a youngster, considering the average age of the Lakers is well over the 30 mark. On the contrary, the requested player will surprise many.

Danny Green has just come off an unsuccessful season with the Philadelphia 76ers. The forward was not at his best, but put in some good performances that the stats sheets won’t show. After the season, many raised questions on the continuation of Green with the Sixers. And as per a recent emergence from some sources, Howard wanted Green to accompany him back.

According to a latest report, Danny Green has revealed that Dwight Howard requested him to re-sign with his former side. The duo played together along with LeBron James in 2019. After splitting up for a year, Howard wanted to add the talented Green back to the roster. This would mean a mammoth reunion, and the Lakers adding a small-forward to their lineup.
