As the 2022-23 season continues to unfold, the NBA games continue to be grittier. The match-ups are getting harder than ever and players aren’t the only ones feeling it. Fans recently came out in numbers to reject a bizarre idea presented by an NBA coach. Meanwhile, LeBron James, speaking up on his difficulties in the game and Steve Kerr being honest about the season schedule, had put everyone on notice. However, it seems like fans aren’t the only ones affected by the idea of pushing away progressive ideas.
Nick Nurse, the head coach of the Toronto Raptors, recently suggested that he’d happily get rid of the NBA Challenge rule if he had the power. Naturally, keeping in mind the recent controversial refereeing decisions, fans weren’t quite happy about his statement.

The NBA Challenge rule was introduced last year, and people were curious and uncertain about it. But over time it has been more or less accepted by fans. However, some members of the NBA community aren’t big fans of the rule, as Nick Nurse candidly mentioned recently, as per reporter Eric Smith.
Meanwhile, fans rushed to Twitter to brutally bash and troll the Toronto Raptors head coach, as they were visibly frustrated by his words.
Here are some of the reactions.

If refs were able to make calls with an above 90% accuracy rate then I would agree unfortunately they sit around a 60% rate and even worse in crunch time. So naah

Probably due to the fact that he uses the challenge rule every other game and is rarely successful for him.. I see why lol

I think it is a good thing and the NBA needs more of it. Team can get away with stuff in the game critical to winning or losing. You are not fair Nick Nurse. You want to get away with stuff.

One would need evolution in the game, as human errors in any part of life are inevitable. When Nick Nurse suggested this, fans didn’t want to go back to the dark ages of a lack of technology to monitor officiating. The Golden State Warriors coach, Steve Kerr recently mentioned the fatigue of many sides in the league, a particular reason for a lot of injuries prevalent throughout the rosters.
