When discussing some infamous brawls in the NBA, Scott Hastings’ sucker punch to Charles Barkley automatically pops into one’s mind. Even though it occurred over three decades ago, its aftereffect still persists today.

In light of the same, recently, Hastings proposed a boxing game between him and Barkley upon joining the crew of ‘Inside the NBA,’ for a chat. Meanwhile, Shaquille O’Neal interrupted them and gave his verdict on LIV TV before even anything got decided.

In the latest episode of ‘Inside the NBA,’ the crew members were reminiscing about how Hasting punched Barkley amidst a brawl between Barkley and Bill Laimbeer in 1990. Among them, Ernie Johnson made Barkley aware of the fact that Hastings stopped by their studio last week and kept some gifts for him. In addition to that, the Detroit Pistons legend also challenged the Philadelphia 76ers legend to a one-on-one boxing match between them.

Amidst the discussions, Scott Hastings joined them for a chat and exchanged some words with all of them. Subsequently, the Pistons legend demonstrated what gifts he left for the Sixers legend. Moreover, he asked him whether to select the NBA veteran, Joe Klein, as their referee for the boxing game.

Thereafter, Barkley hinted it wouldn’t be possible, as Klein would not come out of Arkansas. Moreover, the Sixers legend added that he might be down there in Corky’s Barbeque in Memphis. Amidst that, Ernie joined them and proposed that Corky’s Barbeque would be a good place for their game to happen.

Meanwhile, Shaquille O’Neal interrupted and gave his final verdict. The Los Angeles Lakers legend said to Hastings, “Drop the mic and leave because you already won.” Someone among them also agreed with what Shaq said.

Shaq’s words implied that he already got his winner between them.

Finally, Barkley chuckled and ended the conversation with a piece of advice for all of them. He said that they both are too old and should fight at this age. However, though Barkley stated, it seemed like Hastings still had the desire to go one-on-one with him.
