The young Sacramento Kings held onto their nerves to win game-1 against the experienced Golden State Warriors. However, the Warriors were close to clinching the win as well with the game ending 123-126.?As the Kings ended their longest playoffs drought in the NBA after 17 years, fans turned up in hoards. The Kings faithful rallied behind their team as the Golden 1 Center banged against the reigning champions.

The return of Dubs star Andrew Wiggins was a major talking point after the game. In the post-game press conference, Stephen Curry talked about Wiggins’ performance and had an interesting message. Now, teammate Draymond Green has given his take as well.

Draymond Green discusses the return of Andrew Wiggins

Draymond Green went straight to work for his podcast The Draymond Green Show after the game-1 loss. In the latest episode, the Golden State Warriors star talked in detail about the game. The four-time NBA champion was contrite while analyzing the Warriors’ rebounding department which primarily caused their loss.

He also talked about the return of Andrew Wiggins. Green noted that Wiggins went 1 for 8 from three-point territory. He added that the former #1 overall pick missed some shots that are usually automatic but was confident that Wiggins would be back to his best soon.

Green was happy Wiggins took his shots even though he missed some and praised him for coming back strong despite his personal struggles. He said, “So great to have Wigs back, and like I said, he’ll continue to get better defensively as well. Although he was all over the court on that end – creating some loose balls [though] – and came up with some rebounds. I like it.”

The 2015 Rookie of the Year winner was out for around two months reportedly due to his father’s health. On his return, Wiggins understandably looked a bit rusty as he came off the bench and finished with 17 rebounds, 3 rebounds and 4 blocks. Stephen Curry also spoke about his teammate after the game.

Stephen Curry is happy about Wiggins’ return

Stephen Curry talked about Andrew Wiggins’ return after the game and had an optimistic message. The sharpshooter stated Wiggins had a decent game apart from his shot attempts from beyond the three-point arc. He said it was great to have Wiggins back. Curry added, “He looked good out there. He looked real springy.”
