The Golden State Warriors regained their golden status as they clinched the NBA title after 4 years. They won 3 out of 5 NBA finals in the time period 2015-2019. Featuring in 5 consecutive finals was also an achievement in itself but winning 3 of them made it a dynasty. However, the dynasty was on pause for the last two years when they failed to qualify for the playoffs. Safe to say, Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson have been through all the ups and downs for the Warriors.

The Warriors have been an extremely difficult side to face for any team in the past decade. But one team that had faced them the most in the Finals was the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavaliers and the Warriors locked horns in 4 successive NBA Finals and lost 3 of them. And the duo of LeBron James and Kyrie Irving played in 3, winning 1 and losing 2.

But, the one they won was probably one of the best NBA finals wins in history. So, the possibility of their reunion in Los Angeles has shaken up the NBA world. However, Draymond Green is ?unbothered?.

Draymond Green tones down the hype around LeBron James and Kyrie Irving’s reunion possibility. He said, ?They would contend, but they won?t beat us.? The four-worded message, ?they won?t beat us? was a clear indication that Dray is pretty confident of his Warriors team.?

He surely knows the duo can be lethal as they were in 2016. But he knows his team well and right after the success in the last season he feels good about the next season. Draymond thinks the Warriors can get even better, and he is positive about their progress.

Although it is not a brilliant record for the Cleveland duo against the Warriors, the 2016 NBA win is truly special. They were 3-1 down after 4 games. Then LeBron and Kyrie absolutely went ballistic. Game 5 saw one of the best ever performances of two players from the same team in the same game. LeBron and Kyrie both scored 41 points, which resulted in the change in tide for them. They used that momentum and beat the Warriors 4-3 clinching the NBA title in grandstand fashion.

The two final losses out of 5 for Warriors were because of two distinct reasons. Not necessarily that Warriors played badly, but in 2019 they lacked the arsenal to push through to make it a three-peat. Both Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson got injured. That led to KD?s departure and Klay missed the next two entire seasons due to different injuries.

But now they have come back stronger. As they proved it this season, they are back to their best. They must be looking to get stronger and it is fair for Draymond Green to be confident that they would beat LeBron and Kyrie if Kyrie ends up at the Lakers.
