The Golden State Warriors regained their golden status as they clinched the NBA title after 4 years. They won 3 out of 5 NBA finals in the time period 2015-2019. Featuring in 5 consecutive finals was also an achievement in itself but winning 3 of them made it a dynasty. However, the dynasty was on pause for the last two years when they failed to qualify for the playoffs. They used that momentum and beat the Warriors 4-3 clinching the NBA title in grandstand fashion.

The two final losses out of 5 for Warriors were because of two distinct reasons. Not necessarily that Warriors played badly, but in 2019 they lacked the arsenal to push through to make it a three-peat. Both Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson got injured. That led to KD?s departure and Klay missed the next two entire seasons due to different injuries.
