Back in 2020, the Los Angeles Lakers were the best team in basketball. They were fresh off a historic title win and LeBron James was back on his throne as the best player in the world. And they started off the next season on fire, winning games in a dominant fashion. But soon they were hit by injuries that derailed their title defense.

Fast forward a year, the Lakers are one of the biggest disappointments in the NBA. Their experiment with Russell Westbrook has not worked out and they are on the brink of missing the playoffs. Amid this, they have also lost the support of the fans, who are turning on them at every opportunity. They have booed every player on the roster, including LeBron James. And players around the league do not appreciate it.
In light of this, Draymond Green called the fans “Spoiled Brats” for booing LeBron. He said he found the booing extremely pathetic and called the fans ungrateful for turning on a team that won the title two years ago.
Los Angeles Lakers fans respond to Draymond Green’s comments about LeBron James
The fans were not happy with Green’s comments. And they let him and the team hear it.
He’s not build to be a laker. This is LA not Cleveland lol.

I'll let his effort do the talking. 💩 pic.twitter.com/cG2siJfUp0

We hold everyone accountable even the stars. Kobe wasn’t left off the hook either. I fuck with bron. But if he’s playing bad you’re gonna hear it from me just as much as you’re going to hear the praise. The name on the front matters more then what’s on the back.

Lakers are the epitome of underachieving and front running. 5 HOFs and can't stay over .500. If they can get paid millions and loaf then a fan who paid 2 stacks for a seat can boo when they gett $29 worth of basketball. Dray just wanna hear himself talk.

No. Two years ago has nothing to do with right now. If the team isn't playing well, and they are looking like they are giving minimal effort or that they quit…..and the fans paid all that money to be at the game…they have a right to boo.

Lakers players were saying they were gonna be better after the Clippers game and then came out and got demolished by the Pelicans. A Lakers team with LeBron, Russ, Monk, and others have gone 4-11 in their last 15 games, showing complete lack of energy & effort. They deserve it.

Spoiled? Yes. But booing bc your team isn’t putting any effort? Completely justified. Grateful to LeGM for bringing the Lakers back to relevancy but he’s not the last great to don purpleandgold. Kobe out here making fts with a broken achilles. Bron missing fts with 2 good ones.

No. He's one of the reasons the Lakers have no future

LeBron’s effort is a microcosm of the lakers season.

Laker fans have certain expectations especially from a player who calls himself the goat, player who compares himself to MJ, Kobe and other greata. LeBron just flip-flops to any team that could help him win. When it get difficult, he doesn’t show out.

What I think is before LeBron went to Lakers 85 percent of their fan base hated LeBron just off the Kobe/Bron comparison. Now their true colors are showing.

The State of the Lakers
No one in the Lakers could have imagined the season turning out the way it has. They are currently in the ninth spot and are seven games below .500.

A team with LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and Anthony Davis cannot perform badly, right? Wrong. The Lakers have been downright atrocious and the lack of effort is alarming. It just seems like they don’t care anymore. LeBron is the only one who has been a lone bright spot, but the 37-year man can only carry so much.
And the Lakers haven’t been helped by injuries to star players. LeBron has missed a chunk and Anthony Davis just can’t seem to catch a break. He has missed more than half the games and he is out until April. Westbrook has failed to live up to the hype, and he has been the scapegoat for this season.

The Lakers will pray that they can turn this around soon. Otherwise, it will be downright embarrassing if they miss the playoffs.
