The Golden State Warriors seem to be in a slump right now. Even though they are second in the West, they have not been the same since the start of the year. The dominance which was on display at the start of the year seems to have disappeared. And the biggest reason might be the absence of Draymond Green.
He has missed the last 25 games because of injury and the Warriors have gone 14-11. Green is the floor general for the Warriors and he is their best defender. He may not score a lot of points, but he is integral to whatever the Warriors do. So integral that a former NBA Champion says he might be the most important part of the team.

Perk recently put out a tweet about the Warrior’s struggles. He said, “It?s no surprise that the Warriors have been struggling since the injury to Draymond. He might now be the BEST Player on that team but he damn sho the most IMPORTANT Player on Golden State! He?s the Heart and Soul of that team! Carry the hell on?”

Perkins definitely has a point here. Green is not the best player on the Warriors and he doesn’t score a lot of points. He’s not even their second-best player. But his presence makes the Warriors near unstoppable. With him, they have the ability to switch everything on the defensive end.

On offense, they can go small and not lose out, as Green is an excellent perimeter and team defender. He is also more than capable of guarding the bigs as well. Whatever Green lacks in scoring, he makes up with his defense and playmaking skills. He is, without a doubt, the leader of the Warriors. They have missed his presence and they will hope that he can come back soon.
