Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors are one game away from the NBA Finals. After winning two games at home, the Warriors took game 3 against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks and put one foot in the NBA Finals. Furthermore, Draymond Green broke his silence on the notion that Steph felt threatened by the rise of Luka.

In the past few weeks, there was an ongoing notion, with the impressive performances of Luka Doncic, that he had replaced Stephen Curry as the premier point guard in this league. But Steph seems to have heard that, and he has been putting up some impressive performances. He scored over 30 points in the last two games and was critical in helping the Warriors take the lead in the fourth quarter. In the Last game he was on point in the fourth as the Warriors rallied from a 19 point deficit.

Draymond Green says there is no changing of the guard between Stephen Curry and Luka Doncic

Green was asked what he thought about the notion. He says, ” But as far as the talk before the series, I didn’t see it or notice it. I’m not sure Steph saw or noticed it… For an organisation, for a group of guys, that’s been counted out that we were done… That’s enough motivation.”

“Now as a competitor if you see that, of course, it’s gonna motivate you… You’re going to have something to say about that if possible. Steph is more than capable of having to say something about it and he’s showing that.”

Green appreciated Luka’s greatness, but he also backed up his teammate. This series has been exhilarating and both these stars are going at each other.
