Moreover, former NBA champion Draymond Green feels LaMelo is a leader like Stephen Curry. According to Green, the two players are similar because they bring a different energy to the team.
Green said, “From what I see, his energy seems to be contagious. It reminds me a lot of Steph, in a different way. Like Melo’s more flashy and in life overall, not just on the basketball court. He is just culturally into more things than Steph isn’t.”
Draymond adds, “When I say he reminds of Steph, I mean the looseness. He is super loose, super chill, and super casual and he played the entire game of basketball that way. In turn, our entire organization ended up following like that.”
