A movie about an unheard story about a part of Michael Jordan‘s life always sounds like a good idea. Naturally, people have been giving positive reviews of the new movie, ‘Air’. However, there are always two sides to a coin. Despite the star-studded cast and crew involved in the making of the film, not everyone may have been pleased. Ben Affleck came across a very interesting script on the story behind Michael Jordan’s famous contract with Nike. It was a moment that changed sporting contracts forever while taking the popular sports apparel company to new heights.

However, Nike hasn’t really been in the good graces of everyone since the scandalous report of the use of ‘sweatshop’ factories in East Asia. The report was released in the early ’90s, following which there have been numerous revelations of unethical labor practices by many multinational companies over the past decade, giving a bitter taste to many consumers. One of them being the popular Hollywood actor, John Cusack.

In his recent tweets, Cusack, the popular actor from the movie 2012, criticized the glorification of Nike’s story of becoming more successful than they already were through their iconic MJ contract. The actor pointed out how he felt that there was a shameful glorification of the rich becoming richer, while the poor struggled for bread.

?Next – the heroic saga of the pharmaceutical company that overcharged insulin by 678 % – and made his first 500 mill. A morality take on the glory of greed !? Cusack wrote sarcastically while dissing the movie.

Cusack firmly rejected the idea of the movie, as he personally felt there wasn’t any mesmerizing premise or inspiring the roots for ‘Air’. Although Cusack hasn’t ever shied away from saying what he believes in – calling Hollywood a “w***ehouse” almost a decade ago, the sentiment Cusack expressed would really be a curveball for the filmmakers involved.
