For the last decade, the tales of the Golden State Dynasty’s many triumphs have mesmerized the hoops community. However, playing for such a dynasty alongside stalwarts like Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson is not a simple task to pull off. Some players have famously put in efforts of unreal proportions, just to fit in the side that won four championships in eight seasons. Now, as the Warriors have gained an edge over the Kings in the playoff series, veteran Warriors Stephen Curry and Draymond Green adulated a fellow teammate who went the extra mile to don the Golden State colors.

Kevon Looney had once spent a clueless stint with the mighty Steph Curry and co. The center even had struggled to decipher Steph and his intentions on the court. However, as Curry and Green now spoke at a post-game interview, they revealed that it has become unthinkable for the Warriors to go to battle without Kevon Looney.

Following the Warriors’ triumph against the Kings, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson together went to address the media. Green was immediately asked how crucial Kevon Looney has become for the team. Dray was quick to laud his partner-in-crime, Kevon Looney. The 4x-NBA champion said Looney’s contributions are reminiscent of the contributions of the Warriors legends, Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston. As pointed out by Dray, these two veterans used to calm the team down whenever things went haywire. Green stressed that Looney is playing a similar role these days.

“He[Kevon Looney] is the stabilizing force that allows everyone else to focus on what they need to focus on,” said Draymond Green.

Kevon Looney has joined the likes of the NBA legends, Wilt Chamberlain and Nate Thurmond, with two 20 rebound games in a playoff series. After Game 5, Kevon Looney became the only player since 1972 to have tallied 20 or more rebounds in two games in a playoff series. In a separate interview, Stephen Curry was asked about Kevon Looney’s latest rebounding record. “I don’t know how he[Kevon Looney] does it…said its a relentless effort but its you know a knack for knowing where to be,” said the 2x-MVP alluding to Looney’s rebounding skill set.
