Twitter is the favorite platform for all off-court events and controversies regarding the NBA. Recently, fans have erupted once again and Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns is on the receiving end. His actions have particularly triggered fans of Kobe Bryant and the ‘Mamba Mentality.’

NBA fans erupted after an incident involving Booker and a mascot during his game against the Toronto Raptors.

Owing to the pandemic situation in the country, the arena was practically empty, with a few exceptions. One of them was the Raptors mascot, who is the center of attraction in this controversy. 

What led to Kobe Bryant fans fuming?

Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns recently achieved an extraordinary feat of getting into the list of the youngest players with 10,000 career points.

He joined the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Kobe Bryant. Achieving such a feat was bound to get him comparisons along with praise and laurels.

Booker was compared to the likes of Kobe Bryant, however, his recent actions have some fans feeling otherwise. During the game, Booker showed his disappointment with the Raptors mascot.

Evidently frustrated with the mascot, Booker complained to the referee regarding the same. Fans have taken to Twitter to bash Booker regarding his actions. With many of them calling him ‘not worthy of being compared to Kobe Bryant’.

With his exceptional play this season, many have also talked about Booker and Kobe Bryant’s ‘Mamba Mentality.’ Safe to say a lot of Kobe fans took their words back after this incident.

Despite putting in a good performance, Booker has been bashed left and right.
