The Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan had a triumphant NBA career winning six championship rings. Jordan’s career had several ups and downs. Most notably, he had announced his retirement thrice in his career owing to various reasons. Moreover, Air Jordan pursued a career in professional baseball for a brief period after his first retirement in 1993. Eventually, he made a comeback to the hardwood donning the Bulls jersey. However, during one of the interviews in 1997, the host took a sly dig at MJ and his golfing hobby over his plans after retirement.

O’Donnell asked, “Are you gonna retire again? Baseball thing, bowling maybe, What are you gonna do?” Jordan continued to smile and nod his head in disbelief. The host further continued to tarnish MJ’s favorite hobby. She said, “Not golf, don’t do golf Michael..It’s so boring, I hate it.”
Air Jordan surprisingly asked, “No, it’s not. Why?.” O’Donnell’s reply left Jordan completely stunned.

She said, “Because there’s no defense, there’s no uniform and there’s nothing good.” Following her response, the audience burst into laughter. However, MJ continued to defend the game. He said, “You’re right but that’s tough.” He further diverted the question saying, “I’m frustrated all the time, I really had a rough summer.”
MJ opens up about his Golf addiction
MJ’s golfing obsession is not fresh news to many. The Bulls legend went on to build his own golf course. During one of the recent interviews, he revealed the reason behind the obsession. MJ said, “For a competitive junkie like me, golf is a great solution because it smacks you in the face every time you think you have accomplished something. That to me has taken over a lot of the energy and competitiveness for basketball.”
