The penurious officiating drama continued yet again in another league. After the heartbreaking loss for the Los Angeles Lakers due to a no-call on a game-winning layup, NFL referees have seemingly joined NBA referees in the firing line. Another no-call occurred today, but in the NFL Championship game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers. NFL fans are ripping the refs off for a no-call.?

SportsCenter shared a picture of Patrick Beverley pulling out a camera during the game to show the missed call, mentioning that this is what 49ers QB Brock Purdy should have done. Although a few seem to agree, some NBA fans trolled the Eagles for not doing the same.?

An important catch by DeVonta Smith seemed to hit the ground as he fell, which would have resulted in possession going to the 49ers in what could have been a potentially game-changing moment. However, the San Francisco 49ers lost the game by a huge margin, preventing a play like this could have turned things around for them.

In a Twitter post from ESPN, fans went off on the referees in the comments section. Many fans seemed upset at the fact that huge leagues like the NBA and the NFL are not doing a proper job in officiating. Although the NBA referees apologized for the no-call in the game between the Lakers and the Boston Celtics, the defeat cannot be turned around. Other fans demanded that the leagues fine the refs for their poor calls.?
