Michael Jordan dispelled rumors that he gives away too many NBA tickets to people for free. The general implication of these rumors was that the Chicago Bulls superstar squandered franchise funds to dispense free tickets to fans. However, Michael Jordan vehemently denied these allegations and revealed that he paid for every single ticket he gave out to somebody.

Michael Jordan is well-known to be extremely frugal when it comes to sitting down for interviews, despite his global fame as one of the greatest athletes of all time.

Michael Jordan dispels rumors about giving away free tickets

Michael Jordan dismantled all rumors regarding him squandering Chicago Bulls money to fund tickets for his regular giveaways. In fact, the six-time NBA champion confirmed that he paid for every single ticket he ever gave away.

During the interview, Jordan was asked about giving away tickets for free, as implied in Sam Smith’s book. “I buy every damn ticket. Ain?t nobody giving me tickets,” responded the Bulls legend. “I pay for all those fifty-dollar box-seat tickets I give to little kids.”

I spent one hundred thousand dollars on tickets last year that I didn?t get back. That?s money that I paid the Bulls and other teams. So don?t bi*ch at me about all the tickets I spread around,” he added.

Furthermore, Jordan also revealed that he paid for tickets given to other players as well. In fact, the 14-time All-Star bought tickets for Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant, and other Bulls teammates to dispense to people. Not only did Jordan purchase loads of Bulls tickets, but he also bought scores of tickets from other franchises as well.
