Another game and yet another thriller. Sticking to the theme from Game 1, the Game 2 playoff contest between the Golden State Warriors and The Sacramento Kings was no different. The atmosphere in the building was electric. Moreover, the level of basketball was once again at its finest. However, there was one moment that went against the ethics of the game. In the heat of battle, Draymond Green stepped on Kings center Domantas Sabonis only to be ejected from the game.

The moment reached Inside the NBA studio, and from there began the back and forth between Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley. Turning a malicious incident into a comedic exchange, Shaq and Barkley engaged in silly banter once again.

Draymond Green stepping on Sabonis wasn’t met well by the fans. It seemed to be a deliberate action done to hurt the 26-year-old. However, the other angle to the incident is Sabonis grabbing Green’s leg. While discussing the moment, Shaquille O’Neal sided with the Warriors forward believing there was nothing else he could do.

“I’d have done the same thing. I really would. Don’t be grabbing me because what am I going to do? If I stay there and just try to run forward I’ll fall. You got to get him up off you. And if you in the way, you might get stomped on,” said the Big Aristotle about Draymond Green’s stomp on Sabonis.

Despite defending Green’s actions, the 2000 MVP admitted it was a ‘dirty play’. The rest of the crew sounded off on Shaq’s explanation with Barkley even saying, “Well then just say that.”?They believe what the four-time champion did was excessive and could have been handled in a better way.

However, The Big Diesel wanted to prove his point. To make sure the crew understood Draymond Green had no other option, he wanted one of his c0-hosts to imitate Sabonis and show him the options. Being in danger of getting a stomp from a 324lbs giant, no one was willing to take him up on the offer.

But in classic Charles Barkley fashion, he decided to turn the tables on Shaq. To show what Green resorted to was ‘excessive’, he asked Shaq, “Why don’t you lay on the ground and I’ll see if I can stomp you.”?
