Golden State Warriors had a slow start this season. On top of that, they also lost their centerpiece, Stephen Curry, last month due to a shoulder injury. However, despite missing their superstar, the Warriors are now moving in the right direction after winning five games in a row. Amidst all these highs and lows in the season, the Warriors forward Draymond Green recently made some comments that soon broke the internet and made the fans reflect on his value on the roster.
Stephen Curry has been sidelined due to a left shoulder subluxation during a game against the Indiana Pacers last month. The Dubs superstar will be out for some time amid growing concerns about his availability in the near future. However, in the absence of the team’s centerpiece, players like Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole and Draymond Green have really taken the mantle to get the Warriors over the hump.
Recently, following a question from NBC reporter, Dalton Johnson, the 32-year-old’s answer reflected the ‘Warriors’ mentality. The journalist asked Dray about looking at the league standings right now as the playoffs approach. In reply, the Warriors forward said, “I mean I’m a basketball fan so I look at it of course, but I don’t look at it from a perspective like ah man we need to do to get that…”

Fun fact. Curry, Klay, and Dray have never lost a western conference series when they all start😉

And that ain’t being cocky. That is 100% facts. They may not be scared of us but they know they don’t wanna see us in no series. I don’t care about a road record non of that. That core is deadly in the playoffs. Asked Nuggets, Mem, Dallas and Boston.

We have won a road game in 27 or some consecutive series.
Standings don't matter to us until someone comes along and holds their home court. No one has ever done it in the Steve kerr era. So no worries about the standings— Steph Stan (@sc30rd19burner) January 3, 2023
