Arriving at the beginning of the season, Russell Westbrook was a huge signing for Jeanie Buss’ Lakers. The side began their revamp with the 33-year-old, aiming to build an experienced squad around LeBron. However, the 9-time All-Star barely found any consistency, which led to potential talks for a trade creeping in. But after rumors of LeBron James preventing a move swept in, analyst Nick Wright lashed out at the Lakers management.

Nick Wright destroys LeBron James’ criticism over Russell Westbrook’s saga

Ahead of the NBA trade deadline, several reports claimed that the men in yellow were interested in listening to offers for Russ. On the other hand, nothing seemed to have turned into anything concrete. Meanwhile, ‘King’ James has almost been accused for the longest time, for having protected Westbrook. However, Fox’s Nick Wright has defended the 18-time All-Star, and blamed the Los Angeles management instead.

Talking on the First Things First program, Wright dissed the franchise for their mismanagement. “I’m just curious. You think LeBron cares about the… Who was in charge yesterday? Do you think LeBron cares about a 2027 First Round pick?”

After continuing to bash Rob Pelinka and co, he said, “So don’t tell me anymore LeBron’s running the show.” Evidently, Wright was having none of the agenda against the 4-time champion.
