Kawhi Leonard’s injury history has mainly been surrounding his knee. The Los Angeles Clippers announced that Leonard would miss the next few games owing to the stiffness in his knee. His right knee was once surgically repaired. Owing to the discomfort, Leonard has since been in knee management. However, Anthony Davis has had to face more criticism for his own health problems.

Fans after learning the news about Leonard’s health set back is suddenly on Team Anthony Davis. After roasting the player for several weeks, fans are now defending Davis. They argued that AD has been getting the raw end of the stick.

The?Los Angeles Lakers center Davis is no stranger to health issues. He was forced to be sidelined for many games last season. Even after leading his team to their first win, Davis admitted he was in pain while playing.

He confessed that although his backache was “killing“, he had to fight it for the team. He said he was doing everything he could to win the game. This meant, managing his backache, said Davis.

Has the lens on Anthony Davis been harsh?

Fans and basketball critics earlier had poked fun at Anthony Davis for his susceptibility to injuries. But with Kawhi Leonard not under the fire, as Davis is, fans are demanding that Leonard also is questioned.

Leonard has had large health concerns that date back to 2012. He missed 18 games for the 2012-13 season with a knee injury. He had a metacarpal fracture in 2014, which ensured his absence in 14 games. Leonard missed 17 games again in the same year due to a hand injury. He only played one game in 2017 and couldn’t play owing to his ankle injury.

In 2017 and 2018, his sore quadriceps left Leonard again in rehab. He missed over 50+ games during that time. A knee contusion in 2019, a mouth laceration in 2022, and a bruised leg in 2021 are just some more proof that Leonard has not been consistent with his game.

Interestingly, Leonard had more games than AD as per reports. So it looks like Kawhi Leonard has seemed to escape the media scrutiny so far. However, Davis has been largely in the headlines, slandered his name for being injury-prone. Even though he has struggled, Davis has been always a reliable player whenever he is on the floor.
