NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman has a very outlandish personality. The former Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons legend played his role to perfection. While his on-court achievements are noteworthy, his eccentric lifestyle off it is what truly caught the headlines. For all his bizarre habits, Rodman once revealed how he had a vision that he thought would help him get over all the negativity in his life.
Rodman had a very tough life growing up. Basketball was his way out of difficult moments. However, there were moments during his playing career when he felt like ending things for himself.

While appearing on boxing legend Mike Tyson‘s podcast?in 2020, Rodman spoke about this vision of his. He said, “My vision is to really break out my cycle and my…fu****g negativity stuff like that,” Then he explained what the vision exactly was. Rodman resumed, “I was thinking of going to John Wayne Airport, run a plane, get 10,000 ft. in the air and dive out the plane, no parachute.”
Mike Tyson couldn’t believe this and called it ‘bullsh*t’. Rodman said that he had been having this vision for two months so it was legitimate. He continued, “Face up to God and look at everything in my life flash before me.”

“I’m thinking if that was a fu****g God, somebody’s gonna fu****g put a hand out there and hold me and say, ‘Dennis, you got something left for the world to see. You ain’t dying today mf**r. You got some more sh*t that you need to prove to the world‘”, exclaimed Rodman. This left Tyson and the rest of the group stunned.
Dennis Rodman will be remembered for a long time

While Rodman lived an extravagant lifestyle during his playing days, it rarely affected his performance on the court. The 6’7″ forward used to dominate the board and led the league in rebounding seven times. He won two championships with the Detroit Pistons and three with Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.

The two-time All-Star excelled in his role and was a crucial part of all the championship teams. While it was difficult for coaches to understand his lifestyle, Phil Jackson and Chuck Daly knew how to get the most out of him on a nightly basis.

There have been very few if any, personalities as eccentric as Rodman. From dating Madonna to meeting Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un in North Korea, ‘The Worm’ has definitely lived life to the fullest.
