Disconcerting News for Warriors Fans as Stephen Curry Tweaks an Ankle and Wobbles up the Court vs Rockets

With a win over the Chicago Bulls in their last matchup, the Golden State Warriors finally made their way into the eighth position in the Western Conference. But that is still far from what the Warriors had in mind for the start of the season. Looking to move up the ladder, the Warriors faced the rebuilding Houston Rockets, and one Stephen Curry play had Warriors fans gasping for fresh air.

Even though the team hasn’t had the start they had hoped for, it is at least a relief to see Klay Thompson back in his groove. Thompson had an excellent 26-point game in their win over the Bulls. But the latest ordeal regarding Curry may be a point of concern.

However, the team might’ve had to finish the matchup without their leading scorer as he met with a collision while driving to the rim. Curry landed awkwardly, hobbling after what appeared to be his left foot or ankle taking a hit.?

As Curry drove to the rim for a layup, Rockets center Alperen Sengun tried to chase him down for a block. Unfortunately, he ended up landing one of his feet onto Curry?s left ankle. After which Curry went wobbling down the court on one leg.

The Warriors did end up calling a timeout but Curry did not seem to be looked upon by the team?s trainer. He still managed to return to the game and appeared to be moving just fine despite that injury-inducing scare.

Stephen Curry may have taken the foot off his pedal in their last game given how the rest of the team was constantly pouring it in.

The game against the Houston Rockets ended up going down the same outcome, with Curry taking the backseat. Andrew Wiggins lead the Warriors in scoring with 34 points in the game. But with the history of injuries to Curry’s ankles, the team might want to take a closer look after the game.

The matchup against Houston should have been an easy victory for the Golden State Warriors on paper. However, the Rockets’ young core proved to be more problematic for the Warriors than they would have hoped for. Golden State eventually won the game 120-101.
