The Phoenix Suns had to face humiliation tonight. It looked like a repeat of last season. An international superstar destroyed the Suns and ended their season earlier than everyone expected. Phoenix never found their game – it was all Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets. Kevin Durant couldn’t find his groove, and so couldn’t Devin Booker. After the game, did something similar to what Dillon Brooks did and got the apt treatment from the fans.

The Phoenix Suns lost 125-100 in front of their home crowd as their season comes to an end. The Joker and the Denver Nuggets are the first team to reach the conference finals this season.

Devin Booker couldn’t handle the atrocious loss to the Nuggets

It was yet another unforgiving night for Phoenix. They had the chance to extend the series to seven games playing in front of their fans. They had the crowd’s love and the talent to make it happen. Yet what followed what a grand downfall. Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets to a dominant, statement win in Game 6.

Booker, who has averaged video game numbers these playoffs could manage only 12 points. His usual confidence lacked, or even lost. In the biggest moment this season, once again the Suns all the firepower couldn’t cross the line.

Embarrassed and angered by the loss, D-Book did something no one could have predicted. Similar to Dillon Brooks, he left the arena early before any media personnel could ask questions. The Grizzlies forward didn’t meet the media on several occasions during the first-round series against the Los Angeles Lakers. While Booker fulfilled his obligations through the series, a bad game’s frustration tonight might have affected him.

The three-time All-Star was in the midst of his best career playoff performance. Booker averaged 33.7 points, 7.2 assists, and 4.8 rebounds in the postseason to lead the Suns. Additionally, he had three 40+ point games and was on a scoring tear until tonight. It is unfortunate to see his run come to an end this early.

But the fans weren’t ready to consider his outstanding playoff run above his actions after the season-ending loss.

NBA Fans rip apart Booker for exiting without meeting the media

Win or lose, it is considered the duty of the NBA player to answer the media’s questions, especially the superstars. Booker has been a class act for his entire career and has shown up to sit in front of the media even after the season’s Game 7 loss to Luka Doncic. Surprisingly, tonight’s rage and sorrow saw him take an early exit.

NBA fans weren’t pleased with his conduct as they tore him to shreds.

Then there were the obvious comparisons to $7 million Grizzlies star, Dillon Brooks.
