Denver’s 47-year-long wait has now come to an end. The Denver Nuggets won the Larry O’Brien trophy for the first time in franchise history. Superstar Nikola Jokic has been at the epicenter of Denver’s dream playoff run and eventual ascension to the throne. On the historic night, he contributed a game-high 28 points. In addition to the ring, Jokic has added the Bill Russell NBA Finals MVP award to his cabinet. Now, the 2x MVP has turned heads for a different on-court act altogether.

While the whole world is celebrating the Joker’s heroics, Miami fans beg to differ. Not just because he gave them their biggest heartbreak, but also because he seemingly pulled a bizarre antic on the floor. 

Nikola Jokic’s bizarre on-court antic emerges

Many believed that the Miami Heat will put up a tough fight to keep the series going. They did exactly that in the initial phase of the game and took a commanding lead against the hosts. Jokic and Co. would soon come from behind and close the game with a 94-89 win to make history. Amid the heated action, Nikola Jokic seems to have gotten away with a dirty play during Game 5.

Fox News host Kevin Wildes has now taken to Twitter with a snippet of an on-court antic Jokic pulled on Heat’s Bam Adebayo. In the footage, Adebayo is guarding Jokic when the latter rushed to the offensive end eyeing a rebound. Denver’s shot doesn’t go in and Heat’s Max Strus comfortably gets the rebound. Meanwhile, the Joker is seen throwing an elbow at Adebayo before retreating from the end.

Ironically, Jokic played it dirty in front of the official. The official, however, did not call a foul, despite Adebayo pointing out Joker’s physical play. “No call but Joker flirting with a flagrant,” Kevin Wildes captioned his tweet.

Quite a lot of fans have rushed to Twitter to have a glimpse of the bizarre act and share their takes. Unsurprisingly, many Heat fans are not many are happy with the Joker.

Although Jokic’s gameplay has a separate fanbase, he has earned infamy on the back of his physical plays. His retaliation against Markieff Morris in 2021 has prompted hoops buffs to think that the 2x- MVP is short-tempered. Besides, it has not been a long time since the Joker made news for shoving Suns’ owner Matt Ishbia.

Jokic’s recent act has prompted fans to scrutinize his use of physicality. “He’s one of the dirtiest players in the NBA. Don’t get me wrong he’s a unicorn talent but bro has a low-key temper,” said a fan.
