The Los Angeles Lakers are definitely having a poor start to their season after winning just three out of the 13 games they have played so far and currently stand in the second-last position of the Western Conference table. Despite their poor start, Rob Pelinka, GM of the Lakers, got praised recently by one of the Western Conference executives. However, this also led fans to reflect on the comments about Pelinka, questioning what the executive was talking about.

Despite the poor start, Pelinka and the Lakers’ front office are yet to spend a major amount of money to change the squad. However, Pelinka and his team have kept their patience in spite of constant urges from the fans. Probably the recent rumors of recruiting Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards have attracted praise toward Pelinka.

Howard Beck told Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated if Beal was interested in the Lakers, then Pelinka and his team would definitely go out for him. Pelinka also attracted comments from the executive regarding the current situation of the Los Angeles Lakers. According to Beck, the executive said, “Whatever you want to say about Pelinka, he’s being smart, he’s taking his time.”

Seemingly, the fans didn’t quite appreciate the comments on Rob Pelinka. They also thought Pelinka would not make a change in the roster until the condition of the Lakers worsen further. It was clear from the comments of the fans that they are disappointed with the actions, or inactions, taken by the management so far.

Besides that, he also played college-level basketball for the University of Michigan during the 90s. In fact, Pelinka won the NCCA championship in 1989 and got the honor of getting crowned the NCAA Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 1993.
