Though the 2-time MVP averaged almost 30 points to keep the season alive, the supporting cast did not rise up to the occasion. Doubts about the Warriors increased after their series with Sacramento Kings went to Game 7. The Dub Nation had never lost a Western Conference series under Steve Kerr until today. LeBron James and Anthony Davis ensured the streak came to an end as they demolished the Warriors in game 6 at home. Stephen Curry and Co. will surely be disappointed as they couldn’t defend the title. However, the worrying part about this for the Warriors fans is the fact that they never looked like a better team than the Lakers.
Klay Thompson and Draymond Green have been an X-factor alongside Curry in all their championship runs. But this time, things were a lot different. The defending champs surprisingly finished as the 6th seed in a tight Western Conference. In fact, they were on the verge of missing the postseason, but Chef Curry had to take things into his own hands.
Dropping 50 points in game 7, Curry single-handedly kept the title hopes alive. Anyhow, he couldn’t do the same against the Lakers’ strong defense. Thompson, Green, and a few others did not make an impact in the series. For which the fans continue to throw shade at the team’s core. However, the Warriors organization hasn’t lost hope in the Big 3 yet. A report revealed the organization “still believes their core can compete for titles“. Although, the fans have a different perspective.
With the reigning NBA champions now eliminated, an inside look at future of critical members of the Warriors dynasty – Draymond Green, Bob Myers, Klay Thompson, more – as Stephen Curry’s greatness remains focal point.

Fans predict a Warriors’ downfall
Contract extensions seem to be a huge problem for the Warriors in the coming off-season. Thompson, Steve Kerr, Green, and manager Bob Myers are all eligible for a contract extension. The organization will have a tough time retaining all the core members as the salary and tax bracket is already over the roof.?
This has led the fans to predict a possible dissociation of the Warriors dynasty. Here are some of the fans’ take on the Warriors trusting their core even after a disappointing defeat:
😂😂😂😂😂 did Jerry jones buy the warriors ??

A fan mocked the Warriors by bringing in billionaire Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys. The fan believes Jones alone can satisfy the high salary requirements of the Warriors core. Here are a few more:?
If they want to maximize the current core then Jordan Poole, Kuminga need to be moved for win now players. There is no seamless transition into the young players that they had hoped for

As a Warriors fan, Klay is absolutely terrible now, and has turned into a liability on offense while not being great anymore on defense. Pre injury he was god-tier, but thats not him now. He's had plenty of time to show he can be a consistent shooter, but he's just not close.

The organisation is clearly in denial then! Klay & Dray are already pass their best! Poole also isn't anywhere near good enough, there are too many pieces around Steph that require an upgrade. If the Warriors want to remain competitive, tough decisions have to be made.
