Born on January 6, 1999, the 23-year-old NBA star entered the league in 2021. After going undrafted, McClung signed with the Los Angeles Lakers on August 10, 2021. After the Lakers waved McClung, he went on to play in the NBA G League. McClung made his debut with a game-high 24 points, six rebounds, and nine assists while playing for the South Bay Lakers.

Stephen Curry’s NBA team decides to let go of Mac McClung
Mac McClung played two games for the Lakers in the 2022 NBA Summer League before joining the Golden State Warriors‘ summer squad. McClung entered a one-year non-guaranteed contract with the Warriors on July 22, 2022. The team will be signing Ty Jerome after the latter was waived by the Houston Rockets. The Warriors will also be signing a training-camp contract with the former Rockets player Anthony Lamb. Evidently, Jerome is more experienced as he would be entering his fourth season and has averaged 7.1 points. However, fans are disappointed to see McClung make his exit from the team.
