If it was still not clear to the outside world, now Booker has made it clear with his comment.

Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns

Devin Booker is one of the best young players in the league. The Suns’ superstar could catch fire anytime during a game and hurt the opponents in more than one way. He is also one of the very players in the NBA at the moment with a great mid-range game. Booker is a specialist in the dying art of mid-range.

But the game is now played beyond the 3-point territory and he knows it. In the last few seasons, the young guard has been consistently improving his efficiency from the 3-point line. Last season, he also hit his most number of 3-pointers for a season. The year before he made 126 shots beyond the arc with a 3p% of 34. Last season, he made 183 with a 3p% of 38.3.

The success of the Phoenix Suns heavily depends on the success of their young star. In the 2020-21 season, Booker alongside veteran point guard Chris Paul led their team to the NBA finals. But Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks proved too much for the Suns. And the ‘Greek Freak’ led the Bucks to their first title in 50 years.

Booker and the Suns had to leave empty-handed. Last season, expectations were high for the previous year’s finalists. In the conference semi-finals against rivals the Dallas Mavericks, the Suns took a 2-0 lead. However, Luka Doncic and the Mavs came back stronger and won the series 4-3.

It was a disappointing result for the Suns and their fans. So it will be interesting to how they will bounce back in the upcoming season.
