Who would’ve thought ‘The Last Dance’ documentary would create such a stir. For everyone that watched the show, it was quite clear that it revolved primarily around Michael Jordan and his achievements. However, this did not bode well with MJ’s Bulls teammates. One of the most affected by the series, was Jordan’s most potent brother in arms, Scottie Pippen. In a series of statements and through his memoir, the 56-year-old has lashed out at Jordan.

Irrespective of what the numbers say, All-star Pippen played just as important a part in Chicago’s glory days as MJ. Averaging over 16 points, he was the perfect man to pair up with ‘His Airness’. Regardless of their unquestionable on-court connection, this iconic tag team never had the best of equations off the court. In the aftermath of the 10-episode show on Netflix, Pippen has gone on record multiple times to claim that it glorified Jordan alone, and that it was severely filtered. But former Pistons legend Grant Hill doesn’t think so.

The NBA fraternity is still in shock with how the Bulls squad from the 90s is unraveling. In a recent interview, former Detroit Pistons star Grant Hill termed the Jordan-Pippen beef as ‘sad’. The 49-year-old former All-star, however, has backed Jordan fully. In the same interview, Hill was asked if he found the docu-series unfair or fabricated. Here’s what he had to say.

“I didn’t think it was unfair,” firmly stated the Atlanta Hawks co-owner. “You know they touched on some things that happened. Scottie didn’t go in that one game, that was a controversial moment. Michael talked about the gambling and some of the clouds that hovered around him. I thought it was pretty open and pretty transparent, but you know I was a fan of… Did you guys enjoy it? I enjoyed it.”

The Last Dance surely gave us some unseen footage, but it has blown up into something other-worldly. Whose team are you on – Jordan or Pippen? Although the Charlotte Hornets owner has opted to remain silent thus far, it will be interesting to see what he has to say.
