The NBA finals are right around the corner and millions of fans around the world will be tuning in to see the Miami Heat and the Denver Nuggets in action. One of the highest-rated basketball shows is ‘Inside the NBA’ and it seems they might be taking a hit this time around. After all, Charles Barkley will not be covering the finals! When the Heat took on the Boston Celtics in game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Chuck made a revelation.

He revealed that this is their last show of the NBA season. Moreover, he felt relieved as he would be taking a summer vacation while also making a controversial claim that might land him in trouble.

Relieved Charles Barkley makes a startling revelation

Phoenix Suns legend Charles Barkley is undoubtedly one of the best media analysts in the world currently. Thanks to his immense experience of playing at the highest level, Chuck has a good understanding of the game and its workings.

However, it seems that he prefers a summer vacation over basketball. As the 2022-23 NBA season nears its end, Barkley was relieved that he will finally get the much-needed break.

Barkley said, “Uh man, it’s our last show of the year. Thank goodness. Its time for vacation! I love basketball, but I love summer vacation more! I ain’t gonna get over here and lie.”

When Ernie Johnson asked Barkley to choose between a game 7 in the NBA playoffs and a summer vacation, the 11-time NBA All-Star promptly replied that he prefers a vacation.

Jared Greenberg, the 36-year-old reporter, revealed Chuck’s and the rest of the crew’s future plans on Twitter. They will not be going anywhere and will be covering the NBA finals extensively, like always.

Barkley once revealed his go-to city for the summers

The NBA Hall of Famer currently lives in Scottsdale, Arizona. However, the heat of the desert brings him to Philadelphia every year. During an episode of The Steam Room podcast a few months ago, Barkley revealed the reason why.

It is Philadelphia’s numerous golf courses! The Round Mound of Rebound is an avid golfer and the luxurious courses of Philly draw him to the city every year. Moreover, the 1993 NBA MVP spent a long time playing for the Philadelphia 76ers. Naturally, he has an inherent association with the city and its people.
