But eventually, the Wizards pulled the plug and traded Wall to the Houston Rockets in exchange for another All-Star caliber point guard in Russell Westbrook. While the Wizards barely stayed afloat, Wall?s tenure with the Rockets was full of controversies.

Wall still managed to make $38.2 million that season. Now, the final year of his four-year contract had Wall a guaranteed $47.3 million. This made him one of the highest-paid players in the league despite losing his All-Star-level plays.?

And the thing that is the most daunting is that Wall made that money being a free agent this year. After he was traded to the Rockets from the Clippers this past season, both Wall and the Houston front office agreed to a buyout within three days after his arrival.
